Ranked by real net value — signup bonuses, annual credits, and fees all calculated. We don't pick winners based on sponsorships. We use math.
Every card on this list is ranked by a single metric: net first-year value. We take the signup bonus (converted to dollar value using The Points Guy's monthly cent-per-point estimates), add any annual credits, and subtract the annual fee. No subjective scoring, no advertiser influence — just the math.
Travel cards earn their value from two sources: the welcome offer and the ongoing earning rates on spending. The best cards do both well. Transfer partner flexibility is also a major factor — cards that let you move points to multiple airlines and hotels unlock outsized value that flat-rate cards can't match.
We update our valuations monthly. The cards below reflect current publicly available offers as of March 2026.
